Founded in 1934 by Angelo Molteni in the heart of the Monza-Brianza furniture district, Molteni&C is one of the leading representatives of Italian design worldwide, winning the prestigious Compasso d'Oro lifetime achievement award in 1994.

The artisan workshop of the early days quickly transformed into a modern industry, maintaining intact the search for quality. The innovative spirit of Angelo Molteni, among the founders of the first Salone del Mobile in Milan, has guided the brand's evolution to its current form, capable of bringing its elegant vision to every room of the house and to large contract projects. Today, the Molteni group interprets the needs of contemporary furniture, preserving the precious heritage of design history.

Experimentation and linearity: the Molteni&C table range

The aesthetic and functional research of Molteni&C is reflected in the production of tables with soft lines, use of low environmental impact materials and important international design signatures. A wide choice, ranging from architectural tables like Arc and Ava Table by Foster + Partners and the D.859.1 table by Gio Ponti, to the essential form of the LessLess tables by Jean Nouvel and Half A Square by Michael Anastassiades.

Molteni&C tables give an unmistakable style to the environment in which they are placed, while maintaining an underlying elegance and sobriety. Among the brand's iconic designs, the Asterias table by Patricia Urquiola, which takes its shape from the homonymous cactus native to Mexico. The large central base is composed of six curved wooden panels, while the large round top houses a central rotating tray. The Mateo table by Vincent van Duysen is similar in size and character, with a slightly flared cylindrical pedestal that symbolizes the history and roots of Molteni&C.

Among the classic tables, the Arc table by Foster + Partners studio is characterized by a sculptural base inspired by the technostructures of modern buildings, a harmonious play of lines and arches, made of an innovative lightweight concrete mixed with fibrous material. The D.859.1 table by Gio Ponti immediately recalls modern aesthetics, with its flared base in black or natural solid ash and satin brass feet.
