Details and Measures
LC16 is the system of containers and table top designed by Le Corbusier in 1957 and produced by Cassina. A minimal and essential unit for study or work, made up of all the necessary elements and made of matt varnished oak. The LC16 system was created and adapted in several projects by Le Corbusier: Cassina decided to propose the most recent one, that is the one created for the Unité d'habitation in Nantes-Rezé, an historic building that still exists, precisely because it seems to be the one with the most successful proportions. The strong point of Le Corbusier's entire urban planning and design work has always been to emphasize functionality, up to the value of the object, and in this specific case the study of proportions, shapes and usability achieves one of the best results. The system can be ordered with the right and left side, and it is also possible to integrate it with another two-shelf container module.
