Lago: a design for living well

Can the interior design be a source of inner well living? Lago says yes and prove it with a versatile and modular products line: a real alphabet to compose your ideas in harmony.

Choosing the right furniture for your home is a very important moment you should never underestimate. Nevertheless, are you sure you are getting it the right way? So many times interior design is supposed to be something that “fills spaces”, something about aesthetic or functional: but are these the only real values to keep in mind while thinking about your own house?

Lago has a different idea. To this company from Veneto, established about the end of the ‘800 as a craft of cabinetmakers, furnishing is much more than a combination of furniture and structures. Since the company’s claim, they said something very different, a real declaration of intents, which goes far beyond usual slogans: interior life.

What does that exactly mean? Those from Lago resume it this way:
“If a person spends most of his time in a better quality environment, so his life quality will be better too”.

A so simple concept, which yet contains in its linearity so important concepts that let you foresee a so different way to mean interior design. A phrase that develops in two directions, where interior represents two very different spheres, but that re-join in a unique wellness idea: inner life and life into interior spaces.

Even if they may seem two divergent points of view, they actually are two ways that, when they meet each other, can improve your wellness state. Neuroscience itself has proved that the environment significant impacts on life quality, so it is very important to everyone to live its own spaces with empathy, where harmony is a base element.

So how is it possible to make a furnishing able to make everyone comfortable, according tastes, preferences, different ways to live space and, most of all, with all the different needs of space and organization? Those of Lago have a simple answer: modular design. For them the most important thing is not to provide an already done project, but creating a real “alphabet” with whom everybody can compose an environment around himself feeling it like his own, getting in full tune and empathy with it, developing a perception of space around, which goes far beyond the simple connection between a person and an object.

An ambitious idea, but that seems to have met many people, since the company actually thrives and keeps going with a history started many years ago and still going. “Never stop”, indeed, is one of the 11 points of the Interior life manifesto, a kind of programmatic document which Lago shows everyone to declare openly its philosophy.

Among those points, we surely can find caring for quality, just because furniture cannot create wellness without trust and endurance, but also a guideline focused onto simplicity and immediacy of their products.

A precise and motivated manifesto, to whom the company usually refers in creating new products and solutions for always nearer to customers’ furniture. The ones who choose Lago choose to furnish with originality, following his own rules, composing thanks to the products from catalogue his own furnishing project and never adapting to something already done. A simple as meaningful reversal of roles, in which people come back to be the real house main character, but also in an office, at school, in short, in every indoor space which has been made thinking about empathy and harmony of those are about to live it.

A way to repossess your own space and live it for real, in a new way to think about furniture that stems and develops from the deep belief of design of the future comes only from continuous contamination and collaboration between people and things.
