Sella is the Zanotta's seat designed by Achille and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni in 1957. An unique piece of furnishig, created by combining different industrial objects. For example seat is a real bike seat and base is in a single cast iron. Base's shape and width let the seat to always stand alone. Sella was designed for all those italian people who, in the '50s, were obliged to stand near the phone. Indeed in Italy phones were still attached to the wall, in houses too, so Sella, which has an extensible seat, wanted to solve that issue, but still today it keeps an unique originality and charm.
