Portofino, light-heartedness and lightness; these are the appropriate words to describe an high design object that, at the same time, gives up to its vanity to share with every guest its taste for beauty. Vincent Van Duysen re-interprets an object that, during the ages, have been revisited and re-moulded more times, even without losing its basic concept, the typical deckchair seat, cul object for every outdoor space, for every beach, for every garden or ship deck. Van Duysen uses precious materials as the locust-tree solid wood or the fine fabrics used for the seat to elevate a so common object to the top of the design. Portofino deckchair has a locust-tree solid wooden structure covered with acrylic wax to make it suitable for outdoor weather; the seater is equipped with a thin mattress padded with rainproof polyester fibre and polyurethane, covered with outdoor fabric and with a loinrest pillow. Portofino is proposed in two versions of different weights.
