LC17 Portemanteau is the coat rack designed by Le Corbusier in 1957 and produced by Cassina. Designed for the Cabanon in 1951, Cassina has decided to produce the version created for the "Unité de Camping Roquebrune-Cap-Martin", minimal housing units surrounded by greenery near the French Riviera. The main difference lies in the use of colored protrusions on a black base, all made of oak. A touch of color that fits perfectly in the furnishings of the Unitè de Camping and offers a pleasant contrast in modern furnishing contexts. The protrusions for the clothes seem to be placed casually, in fact they follow the rigid canons of the Modulor, the system of proportions and measures designed by the Swiss designer and architect based on the dimensions of the human body.
