Bruno Munari: a master of design and pedagogy

Bruno Munari, born in Milan in 1907, is was an Italian designer and artist who revolutionized the world of 20th century design. His philosophy, centered on experimentation and play, has influenced generations of designers and helped define the concept of democratic design. Munari has worked in a vast range of fields, from graphics to publishing, from architecture to industrial design. Among his works the most iconic ones include the "Macchine aeree", mobile sculptures made with simple materials, and the "Prelibri", children's books designed to stimulate creativity. and learning through play.

A curriculum full of prestigious collaborations

Over the course of his prolific career, Munari has collaborated with some of the most important Italian and international interior design brands, including Danese Milano, Artemide and Rexite. For Danese Milano he created iconic objects such as the Cubo ashtray and the Falkland lamp, both winners of the Compasso d'Oro. For Artemide he designed the "Aggregato" lamp and the "Falkland" pendant lamp . For Rexite he created the multifunctional bed "Abitacolo". Munari's creations stand out for their essentiality, ingenuity and their ability to to amaze and entertain. His objects are not only beautiful to look at, but also functional and interactive. Munari believed that design should be accessible to everyone and not just to a privileged elite. For this reason, he often used simple and low-cost materials to create his works
