Utrecht is a collection of iconic seats designed by the "Maestro" Gerrit Thomas Rietveld in 1935. 2 or 3-seater sofas, with curved or straight back, and an armchair, all characterized by an iconic and unrepeatable style, shaped by the Dutch designer according to his unique concept, rationalist and neoplastic. In his work we can see the teachings of Frank Lloyd Wright, but also the unmistakable trace of the artisan cabinetmaker, a profession that Rietveld has practiced at the very beginnig. Essentiality, innovation and a total reinterpretation of shapes merge into a unique work, which has survived to the present day without ever losing relevance and modernity. The 2-seater sofa is made of a solid steel frame, padded with polyurethane foam and polyester wadding, while the upholstery is available in a selection of fabrics and leathers from the Cassina catalogue. To further characterize an already unique product, it is possible to personalize it choosing either the colour, chosen from 5 shades, or the stitching of the seams, between zigzags or blanket stitch.
