Foscarini's purpose was to create a lamp which could reproduce washi's lightness, the paper used to create oriental lamps. Only thanks to the best skilled Murano's glassblowers' maestry and Foscarini's experience it has been possible realizing Rituals line, pendant lamps with diffused light. The particular blown glass structure is enriched with a striped effect, made by mold with negative decorations that are repeated on the glass surface, then hand frosted and dipped in acid to get a chalky effect. This particular lamp creates a very private and emotional light. Version number 1 has an elongated shape, providing a particular enlightement.
