Zanotta, the originality that made history

Thanks to the enterprising spirit of its founder, Zanotta has always been synonymous with originality. Projects go into production only if they reflect the values of the company, which has been able to re-propose works by masters of the past and at the same time discover new design talents.

Zanotta combines research and practicality, production technologies and craftsmanship, natural materials or the fruit of ingenuity. A mix that has contributed to the success of Zanotta as a producer of cult pieces, exhibited in numerous art collections. This approach is also reflected in the production of tables, essential in the home as a simple support surface and as a meeting point for loved ones.

Zanotta tables selected by Ciat Design

Beyond the stylistic differences of the designers who conceived them, the Zanotta tables are united by a character halfway between art and architecture. From the boldest lines that challenged the conventions of their time to more essential, but still recognizable, projects.

Among the most iconic projects, there is undoubtedly the Quaderna series, tables, desks and consoles born during the protests of the late Sixties. Designed by Superstudio, the Quaderna table is a unique squared top, made of honeycomb wood covered in digitally printed laminate. An idea born from new concepts of living space, which challenged the constraints dictated by functionality.

Another famous design produced by Zanotta is the Reale table. Initially created by Carlo Mollino in 1948, it was re-proposed by Zanotta as part of its search for objects representative of Italian design.

Completely different in design is the Fenice table, the first single-leg table, created in 1936 by Piero Bottoni and recently re-proposed by Zanotta. Made of Polimex covered with cement resin, it is a sculpture-table capable of bringing a cultured and artistic aura to any environment.
