Pyramid is Cappellini's chest of drawers designed by Shiro Kuramata in 1968. An innovative and out of the box project, born from a material experimentation, a very forefront idea for the 60s. Transparent methacrylate for the frame and drawers in the same material, but painted matt black. The Japanese designer's work is completed by an unusual and particular shape, very distinctive: Pyramid's shape gives also the name, a truncated pyramid which lies onto 4 castors. Due to the inclination, also drawers undergo variations in sizes, getting smaller as they go upwards, creating a particular geometric effect.
