Aiming to create three-dimensionally moulded plywood seat shells that conformed to the contours of the human body, the designer Charles & Ray Eames developed the Plywood Group chairs. Thanks to their organic shape and the slightly flexible backrests, the chairs are extremely comfortable also in the version without upholstery. The DCM chair is characterized by a tubular steel, chrome plated or powder-coated base, equipped with glides for carpets or hard floors.
