Designed by Charles Eames & Eero Saarinen for the ‘Organic Design in Home Furnishings’ competition held in New York in 1940, the armchair went into production only in 1950 due to the absence of suitable manufacturing techniques. The chair is made of an organic shaped shell in laminate, upholstered in polyurethane foam with fabric cover, which makes it able to offer supreme seating comfort. The wooden base, available in back ash or natural oak, is equipped with plastic glides for carpets and felt ones for hard floors. The chair is here offered in two versions: Organic Chair and Organic Conference which change in sizes. Organic Conference can be combined to a wide range of conference and meeting tables.
