LC14 Tabouret Maison du Brésil is the versatile furnishing accessory with a minimal style created in 1959 by Le Corbusier and produced by Cassina. Direct evolution of the original model, the Tabouret Cabanon designed for the famous Le Corbusier shed on the French Riviera, the Tabouret du Brésil is slightly smaller in size and has holes only on the 2 main side faces. The name is due to the project that Le Corbusier developed with the Brazilian architect Lùcio Costa for the structure built within the university city of Paris, the Maison du Brésil precisely, intended to accommodate professors and students but also to become a true center for the dissemination and study of Brazilian culture. The LC14 is both a low table and a stool, equipped with comfortable slots to be easily moved and overturned. The stool is completely in solid oak, made by means of dovetail joints clearly visible on the corners.
