The CH23 dining chair was one of the first chairs designed by Hans J. Wegner exclusively for Carl Hansen & Søn in 1950. Wegner's creations during that period were not only unique, but also set new standards in modern furniture design thanks to their artistic expression and ergonomic shape.

While the CH23 chair may appear simple at first glance, it incorporates many refined and sophisticated details, such as elegant cross-shaped backrest covers, a double-layered woven seat and curved back legs that ensure optimal stability.

Carl Hansen & Søn reintroduced the CH23 in 2017, reincorporating these early masterpieces into their collection. As always, the design remains true to Wegner's original hand-drawn drawings, with all aesthetic and structural aspects intact.
