Acerbis is one of the oldest Italian design companies, with more than 150 years of history. Founded in 1870 by Benvenuto Acerbis, the company established itself in the 1960s through industrial production and collaborations with designers such as Giotto Stoppino and Vico Magistretti.  At Acerbis, design is a combination of conceptual aesthetics and functionality, with a traditionalist focus on creating quality objects that retain their value and beauty over time.

Fascinating combinations of forms and materials

The geometric lines and the refinement of the colors and materials immediately express the continuous research of Acerbis and the designers who have contributed to its identity. The Storet chest of drawers and Due Più armchair, designed by Nanda Vigo for Acerbis, create interesting and visually striking contrasts, combining playful, soft shapes with rigorous structures. The Serenissimo and Creso tables by Lella and Massimo Vignelli combine light, floating tops with solid, monolithic bases.

In keeping with the brand's style, Acerbis furniture from the Alterego series contrasts important proportions with a transparent methacrylate base that creates the illusion of floating. Materials are also at the forefront of Sabine Marcelis' Lokum coffee table, which uses handmade glass and pure forms to create distinctive light effects and iridescent colors.

A history of experimentation

Throughout its long experience, Acerbis Design has created objects that are both modern and timeless. By collaborating with emerging talents and established designers, Acerbis remains true to its mission, creating objects that are in line with the brand's identity and destined to maintain their appeal over time.
