The LC1 is the iconic Cassina armchair designed by Le Corbusier, Pierre Jeanneret and Charlotte Perriand in 1928. The entire collection was born from the ambitious project of rearranging and optimizing the industrial production of furnishings, creating a series of golden standards and rules that "makes evil difficult and good easy" (LeCorbusier). Every single piece of furniture is thus shaped on the study of the positions of the human body, creating armchairs, chaise longues, tables, stools, armchairs and tables that are, first of all, comfortable and functional. The LC1 is born as well as the first armchair with reclining backrest, composed of simple elements, easy to assemble and producible, but not for this neglected aesthetically. The principles that inspired the manifesto of the Modern Movement are easily identifiable in the LC collection, characteristics that still attract attention and interest. The LC1 armchair here is proposed with seat upholstered in rawhide in 16 different colours, armrests in tick leather matching the seat and a choice of chrome or matt black lacquered structure.
