Cotone is the upholstered armchair designed by Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec for Cassina in 2018. When projects are carried out for a historic brand like Cassina, it is impossible not to look with admiration at the long series of iconic products created. Furnishing accessories that have made the history of design, still recognized and appreciated. For this reason the two French designers have decided to pay homage to the great tradition of comfortable and welcoming seating with their contemporary, light and everyday version. This is how Cotone, the constantly evolving line of accessories, wants to gather the best from the past, updating it both from the point of view of production techniques and from the perspective of modern taste for living. The distinctive feature of the collection is the strong contrast of the upper structure / element, so in this case we have comfortable seats with comfortable seats, supported by an extruded aluminum structure with a rational and minimal taste. Following the Cassina tradition, the structure is available in 7 painted and anodised finishes, while the seat, widely padded thanks to a polyurethane mattress wrapped in a feather quilt, can be upholstered in a wide selection of fabrics and leathers.
